Jim woke me up at 8am this morning; “Susanne, Susanne – the baby is still asleep, is that ok?” I asked if he was breathing. Jim replied in the affirmative. “Yes dear, that’s wonderful.” He slept from 10:00pm until 8:30am. The little guy migrated in his sleep to the corner of his crib and had his head butted up against the crib bumpers and his little hand sticking out underneath. He was so cute!
Since it looked like the weather might turn nasty this afternoon we decided to get on the road and get our errands done. We delivered some Christmas presents; exchanged some clothes Robert got as a gift for the next size up and ran to Pier 1 to get some last minute gifts. By noon we were home all cozy watching the snow come down. We didn’t get hit really hard but about 20 miles up the interstate they got pounded with white out conditions.
Robert was asleep when we got home so I put him back in his crib. He’s slept most of the day. He’s not feverish but he’s been sort of crabby all day. If he’s awake he wants to be held. I think he’s in another growth spurt. Either that or we’re going to start seeing teeth soon.
Since Robert was asleep we tackled some cleaning in the basement and I finished the photo tumbler Robert is giving Great Aunt Barb for Christmas. I’m glad that project is done! Was a major pain in the arse getting it to print the right size and fit in he tumbler but it is done, wrapped and ready to go.
Rev. Hill called tonight to ask if we were going to be in church tomorrow. I said we were going to try to make the 8:30am service. They are wanting families with new babies to light the advent wreath tomorrow and so far had no one for 8:30 so we had better get our butts out of bed in the morning. I just got finished washing Robert’s race car sweater and have it drying in front of the fire place. I hope it’s dry in the morning.
