Raising a Millennial

Robert loves my ITouch.  We’ve loaded a lot of games on it for him.  His favorite is Peek-A-Boo Barn where a barn opens to show an animal inside and does the animal’s sound.  When the doors are closed he’ll yell out “Come in!!!”  He also really likes Monkey Preschool Lunchbox.

Erika got a good night’s sleep last night and was a huge help today as we ran a zillion errands.  When Jim got home he took her home and I finished up dinner.  Unfortunately I burned a small part of the chicken and it set off our uber sensitive hard wired smoke alarm.  I reset the alarm and the alarm company called but apparently couldn’t hear me and I thought they would call back so I went back to fixing dinner… they called the fire department, so they showed up.  Never dull around here.  Tonight’s dinner was Lemon Thyme Chicken, Rice with Summer Squash, steamed green beans and Apple Cobbler.   It actually all turned out really good.  Jim particularly loved the Rice with Summer Squash.  I substituted Splenda Baking mix for the sugar in the cobbler and it was fantastic!
