I’m participating in Reverb 10!
Reverb 10 is an annual event and online initiative to reflect on your year and manifest what’s next. The end of the year is an opportunity to reflect on what’s happened, and to send out reverberations for the year ahead. With Reverb 10, we’ll do both.
This December we invite you to share your story and join us in reflection.

December 1st – Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?
(Author: Gwen Bell)
I think 2010’s word would have to be challenging. And it’s not all bad. Yes, being unemployed for half the year was a bad challenge, but we did it and managed. I even took up cooking in my off time and found that there are some things I make very well (like pie). The preschool closing and having our child care in upheaval for a few weeks was a challenge, but Robert wound up in a great preschool with a teacher who loved him and Miss Judy landed there too, so that was good. Jim travelling more was a challenge because it made me a “single mother” more often. But we survived… even when I went back to work and the days were a lot longer. And Robert is happy and healthy so it’s all good. The “positive” challenges… Robert turned three… and that brought a whole new attitude. For the most part he is still my sweet, happy go lucky boy but when he digs his heels in he is the most stubborn thing ever invented! But, it has also contributed to his independence and his zeal to try new things so that has been wonderful. My new job has brought challenges… learning new things, being back in a really fast paced environment, trying out new ideas… but I’m loving it.
In a year I would like to look back and feel that the word that captures the year is exhilarating.
